Denominational Health Care Webinars Scheduled

From among several health insurance plans being offered by the Denominational Health Plan, which plan option will you select or will have made for you?

This month, you will have several chances to view special webinar presentations explaining how General Convention’s resolution A177 will affect the Diocese’s health insurance coverage beginning in January 2013. It is important to realize healthcare plan changes are ahead, especially the introduction of new PPO and Health Savings Account options.

Three one-hour webinars are scheduled on these dates in 2012:

Wednesday, January 18 beginning at 2 PM (access the webinar here - select "login as guest" and enter first and last name)

Saturday, January 21 beginning at 10 AM

Wednesday, January 25 beginning at 6 PM

The same information will be presented during each webinar. Webinars will be broadcast from the Diocesan office.

The first half-hour of the webinar will be used for the presentation and the remaining time set aside for addressing questions. After the last webinar, a list of the most frequently asked questions with responses will be made available as a document or a podcast.

2011 Parochial Reports Due

GC2012By now, all parishes should have received a mailing from The Episcopal Church’s Office of General Convention containing information about filing the 2011 Parochial Report. This report is required for all parishes and missions in the Church. Diocesan canons require that the parochial report be filed no later than March 1st each year. Moreover, timely filing of the parochial report is required to certify deputations to Diocesan Convention. Failure to file this report in a timely manner may result in loss of vote for Convention business.

Whenever possible, please file the reports online by logging in with the User ID and PIN provided in the material you received from the Office of General Convention. If you have any questions or need assistance in completing the report, please contact The Rev. Dr. David Zwifka, Director of Finance and Diocesan Administration, at your earliest convenience.
